Accessibility
Last updated: 8 October 2026
We want Math Solving Space to be usable by everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we have done
- Keyboard: every calculator, button and menu works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Screen readers: maths is rendered with MathML alongside the visual version, results are announced when they appear, and every graph has a text description.
- Motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, graphs appear in their final state without animation.
- Colour: light and dark themes, and colour is never the only way information is shown.
- Zoom and small screens: pages work from small phones to large monitors and with browser zoom.
- On-screen keypad: large buttons for entering maths without a physical keyboard.
Known limitations
- Some long equations scroll sideways inside their own box on narrow screens.
- Graphs are pictures with text descriptions; individual points on a graph cannot yet be explored with a screen reader.
